Healthy Aging through the implementation of Social Prescribing at community level in Cambodia

WHO in close collaboration with the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), has been implementing Social Prescribing intervention based on the adapted social prescribing toolkit for capacity building trainings for 1,431 (704 females) VHSGs and community health workers to become link workers in 10 provinces completed from April 2022 to August 2023.

Through the preliminary results of the monitoring and evaluation of the adapted Social Prescribing toolkits, this programme has provided the platform for village health support groups, village chief and vice chief, and relevant stakeholders to share their experiences in helping the villagers after receiving the capacity building trainings on adapted Social Prescribing. The villagers appreciated getting significant supports from the link workers to improve their health, mental health, and social well-being, as part of healthy aging.
